Open Source Licences
Like all serious software, EYU SUITS uses some open source components. This page carries the one notice we are required to publish here. The rest travel with the application, which is where notices belong.

FFmpeg source
EYU SUITS includes FFmpeg for reading and writing media formats. The build we ship is configured with --enable-gpl --enable-version3, which makes it the GNU General Public License version 3. FFmpeg can be built under the Lesser GPL instead; ours is not, and saying so accurately is the whole point of this notice.
FFmpeg runs as a separate program that EYU SUITS starts and talks to. It is not linked into the application, and no part of EYU SUITS is derived from it. The GPL obligations attach to the FFmpeg binary we distribute, and they are met below.
You are entitled to the complete corresponding source for the FFmpeg build we ship, and you can download it yourself from where it is officially published:
- FFmpeg itself, at the exact version in EYU SUITS (
N-123430-gf189657ec6): download the source, from FFmpeg's official mirror ofgit.ffmpeg.org. - The build recipe that produced our copy, from the BtbN FFmpeg-Builds project that ffmpeg.org links to for Windows: download the recipe. It names every library built into FFmpeg, the exact version of each, and where that library's source is published.
The same two links are in FFMPEG-SOURCE.txt, next to FFmpeg in the folder where EYU SUITS is installed. If either ever stops working, write to the address on our contact page with the subject line "FFmpeg source" and we will send the source to you instead, for no more than the cost of doing so.
The GPL also allows you to modify and rebuild that FFmpeg, and to reverse engineer it in order to do so. Nothing in our Licence Agreement takes that away, and the clause there that would otherwise read as though it did says so explicitly.
FFmpeg is at ffmpeg.org. The licence text is at gnu.org.
Every other notice
The full list of components, each with its licence text in full, is in the file THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, installed in the same folder as EYU SUITS. FFmpeg's own licence and source details sit beside FFmpeg itself, in the ai_tools folder, as FFMPEG-LICENSE.txt and FFMPEG-SOURCE.txt. They ship with the copy of the software they apply to, which is the point of them.
If something is not credited where it should be, that is our mistake rather than an omission with intent behind it. Tell us and it will be corrected.
What this means for you
- What you make is yours. Nothing here gives anyone a claim over the files EYU SUITS writes for you.
- You take on nothing. Using the application on your own files creates no obligation for you. Obligations attach to distributing software, which is our job.
- Nothing to check. Every model in the application is published under MIT, Apache 2.0 or BSD-3, all of which permit commercial use. This is checked before a release, and three models have been removed for failing it. You can sell what you make with any tool in EYU SUITS without reading anything first.
