Change audio speed without changing the pitch
Change speed makes a recording faster or slower while keeping the pitch where it was. The player plays at the new speed as soon as you move the slider, so you find the right pace before saving.
What it does
- Anywhere from half speed to double speed.
- The pitch is held, so a voice still sounds like the same person.
- Hear the new speed live, before anything is saved.
What you can set
- Speed: from 0.5x to 2x.
Works with
Audio (WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, WMA, OPUS and AIFF).
How it works
- 01Open the file in EYU SUITS: drop it anywhere in the window, or press Choose a file.
- 02Pick Change speed from the tools listed beside it, and change the settings if you want to. The defaults are a sensible start.
- 03Press Run. The result is saved to your EYU SUITS folder, and the original is left as it was.
Questions
Will voices sound higher when sped up?
No. The pitch is held, so a voice at 1.5x sounds like the same person talking faster.
Can I hear it before saving?
Yes. The player plays at the chosen speed while you set it.
