Rename files in bulk
Rename in bulk gives a pile of files one consistent naming scheme, such as holiday_001, holiday_002, in one go.
What it does
- Patterns built from {name}, {num} and {ext}.
- Choose where the counting starts and how many digits it has.
What you can set
- Pattern: for example holiday_{num}.
- Start counting at: 0 to 999.
- Digits: 1 to 6.
Works with
Any files.
How it works
- 01Open Rename in bulk in EYU SUITS and choose the files.
- 02Write the pattern, and set where the counting starts.
- 03Press Run.
Questions
What does {num} do?
It is replaced by a counter, padded to the number of digits you set, so files sort in order.
Can I keep the original names?
Yes. {name} is the original name, so a pattern such as {name}_{num} keeps it and adds a number.
